THE DIGITAL EDGE CLUB PRESENTS

THE SUSTAINABILITY ERA

WHAT OPPORTUNITIES WILL THE ROAD TO NET-ZERO PRESENT YOU?

VIRTUAL  PRIVATE ROUNDTABLE
2-3:30pm GMT, 6th December 2022
“BUILDING A NET-ZERO WORLD REQUIRES INNOVATION IN TECHNOLOGY AND BUSINESS MODELS, WHICH WILL CREATE GROWTH OPPORTUNITIES FOR COMPANIES THAT TAKE ACTION.”

McKinsey, 2022

The business world is in a state of disruption; global unrest, supply chain instability, and soaring inflation have slammed the brakes on the economy. With the average technology budget being squeezed by 8.6%, Forrester is urging executives to rapidly drop initiatives that are not adding immediate value.

Despite the bleak outlook, there remains a significant opportunity for GSIs. 96% of leaders are aggressively pursuing sustainability initiatives, leaving existing budgets to hit ESG targets intact [Forbes, 2022]. Consequentially, GSIs must re-focus their activities on their client’s sustainability spending. And expect increased competition from others who have similarly spotted this opportunity.

As a GSI, how can you capitalise on this and win more than your fair share over the next 12 months?

OUR SPEAKER: Ben Kellard (MSc, CIPD, Director of Business Strategy, CISL)

Ben advises leading businesses on how to align their purpose and strategy with the transition to a sustainable economy. He specialises in developing best-practice for how to develop and integrate a sustainable purpose into an organisation. He authored the ‘Leading with a sustainable purpose’ report that captures practical insights from four leading businesses. As well as shaping CISL’s research into what a sustainable, purpose-driven business looks like, he collaborates with several international initiatives that share the same goal. He was on the steering committee of PAS 808, the first ever BSI standard for a sustainable purpose-led organisation. He draws on over twenty years of experience as an organisational development consultant, eleven of which were with the international not-for-profit Forum for the Future.
